OBSERV® was developed as a means of optically examining skin at a deeper level and enables me to make more informed decisions about your skin. Many common skin conditions originate from these deep layers of skin, and are often difficult to spot using the human eye alone.
OBSERV® can assess
- Inside the skin – inflammatory skin disorders and vascular conditions. Potential solutions include: medication prescriptions, laser advice, medical grade skincare, rosacea or acne management
- On the skin surface – rough bumpy skin, wrinkles, visible pores. Potential solutions include: peel & resurfacing treatments, wrinkle management, polynucleotides, retinol, facial dermal fillers and skin boosters
- Skin biology & deeper hidden problems – assessing skin type, pore health, hidden skin pigmentation, melasma and sun damage. Potential solutions include: advise on pigmentation removal and preventative treatments, medical grade skincare
- Skin biology & Lipid film distribution – assesses skin secretions, pigmentation disorders. Potential solutions include: pore cleansing, non comedogenic skin care, pigmentation treatments, chemical peels, acne management
I offer all of my patients a 30 minute consultation using the OBSERV® Skin Scanner. After this we can usually explain why particular issues have occurred, whether current skin care and cosmetics are right for you and give solutions to improve skin and maintain its health where needed.

Why is skin analysis so important before treating it?
Skin analysis is the most important step on your journey to healthier, better looking skin. It allows us to build a treatment plan that is customised to your specific needs and concerns. We will therefore, achieve treatment goals faster.

How do you store my scanned photographs?
Keeping your pictures and personal information safe is a top priority. We have taken extra precautions to ensure your sensitive information is well-protected. All of your pictures and personal information are safely stored in a high-security cloud platform (called Sylton Safe) which is only accessible by the clinic.
OBSERV® is 100% GDPR proof, meeting all the requirements for properly handling personal data as defined by law.
How long does a scan take?
Depending on your skin condition, the OBSERV® Skin Analysis process may take up to 60 minutes. While capturing your pictures takes 5 minutes or less, most of the time is allocated to an in-depth analysis of your skin. Keep in mind the OBSERV® Skin Analysis session is an informative experience, and we want to make sure we take enough time to explain your skin’s condition and needs, so you will also have an in-depth understanding of your skin.
Do I need to prepare for a scan?
Ideally, you would thoroughly clean your skin 2 hours before your OBSERV® session, so by the time you arrive at the clinic your skin will be free of makeup/sunscreen/moisturiser or any other product that may interfere with the skin analysis process. However, we do understand this might not always be feasible. If you cannot clean your skin before coming to the clinic, we will do it for you; we will prepare your skin by thoroughly cleansing it to remove makeup, sunscreen, or any other skincare product.
Can anyone safely have a scan?
There are no contraindications or restrictions, and everyone can use the OBSERV® safely, including people with epilepsy or light sensitivity.
Can the machine damage my skin?
No. The True-UV mode uses a fraction of the UV power that can actually cause damage to skin tissue. Thanks to the unique light reflectors and light diffusing elements of the OBSERV®, only a tiny and harmless UV intensity is needed.
Will you send me the results?
Of course! All your pictures, treatment recommendations, home-care instructions, and any other notes taken during the skin analysis process can be sent to your email as part of a final skin analysis report. The report summarises your OBSERV® findings and personalised treatment plan. You can conveniently read it at home and come back to the clinic for your next session more well-informed and ready for your treatment.

I first met Trish last year when I sought advice about ongoing menopausal issues. Trish has a thorough understanding of the menopause, her knowledge is up to date and her compassion is evident. I had some worrying symptoms that my GP felt did not warrant investigation but Trish provided me with a clear and concise assessment which my NHS GP took on board. This resulted in prompt action and subsequent treatment on the NHS which without her expertise I would not have had access to. To say I am grateful is an understatement! To say thank you really doesn’t seem to do justice to the support Trish provided, but thank you again. I would highly recommend Trish and I would not hesitate to seek her advice again if needed.
Another amazing treatment from Dr. Trish. This one to dramatically reduce the appearance of fine lines above the top lip. Super pleased with the result including the look of the lips themselves (which I confess I was slightly concerned about). All of my treatments have been planned really carefully through a lot of discussion and I could not be happier with the results.
I have been going to Trish for my HRT as well as other anti-ageing treatments such as Obagi skincare and Botox for over a year. Imo she is a formidable ally for us pre/post and menopausal lasses: she took time to investigate my concerns, helped me sort out my HRT regiment according to my personal situation, which my GPs neither have the time nor resources to, and she keeps my treatment regiment monitored. I even got my husband signed up for Trish's HRT treatment and he's doing really well as well. I also totally trust Trish to do my Botox treatments - she's very gentle in her touch, precise in her dosing and clearly understands the facial anatomy better than many other practitioners not very thoroughly trained in the subject of human anatomy. I wouldn't go anywhere else.
DR Trish is a super understanding woman . I've been seeing her for a year . I was on Antidepressants which have I've suffered on them . Dr Trish said I need hrt not AD. I have tried a few hrt and with tweaks here and there I'm starting to feel better slowly. Worth every penny. Thankyou Dr Trish 😘
