Dermal Fillers
Skin
Hyaluronic Acid Facial Dermal fillers are injectable gels containing Hyaluronic Acid which is used to restore or add volume to the face and hands.
Fillers vary in thickness, which determines the area they can be used in and what they’re designed for. Juvéderm® dermal fillers have durable, long-lasting, natural looking results.
Your body is able to break the filler down naturally and eventually the results will fade. Teoxane dermal fillers are also used in this clinic.

Refresh your natural features
Sometimes your face can show signs of tiredness that you want to control and patients tell me that their face doesn’t reflect how they feel and that they just want to look like themselves again.
An increasing number of men are becoming concerned about their appearance and turning to non surgical treatments, including facial fillers to help manage their look.
I will work with you to create a unique treatment plan. Your first consultation is dedicated to discovering more about you, the features you love and exploring your treatment needs. Of course, there has to be volume loss for a filler to be the correct treatment, so a consultation and facial assessment always takes place before any treatment.

Frequently asked questions
How long does the treatment take?
In order to assess which treatment is right for you, during your consultation I will take the time to understand what you’re looking for and discuss a treatment plan. Depending on this, one treatment session can take around 30 minutes.
What does 'natural-looking result' mean?
It’s all about still looking like you – whether you’re smiling, laughing or frowning. During your consultation, I will assess your face whilst it’s still (static) and moving (dynamic) with the aim of giving you a result that looks and feels natural.
What does the treatment feel like?
Many of the products contain Lidocaine, which is a mild local anaesthetic that helps to numb the area of injection.
When can I get back to my day?
With the possibility of minimal downtime, you can get back to doing the things you love on the following day, depending on the treatment chosen.
Any dos & don’ts?
I advise avoiding things like wearing makeup on the treated areas, exercise, extended periods in the sun, saunas, ultraviolet (UV) rays or very cold temperatures immediately following your treatment.
What is Juvéderm® and what makes it different?
Juvéderm® is the world’s leading hyaluronic acid (HA) or HA facial filler. HA binds to water in your skin which may smooth lines and wrinkles, add volume and enhance or define facial features. Juvéderm® has the ability to integrate with your own facial tissue, to help achieve natural looking results.
Each Juvéderm® facial filler is designed for a particular purpose, whether it’s to treat fine or deep lines/folds, restore facial volume for a lifting effect, or reshape and redefine the lips.
Allergan has over 60 years of experience in stringent product manufacturing. Juvéderm® helps achieve natural looking and long-lasting results
Why do I need a consultation? Is dermal filler treatment suitable for me?
During your consultation, I will ask about your medical history to determine if the treatment is suitable. I always give a cooling off period to allow you to determine if the treatment is right for you. If you choose to go ahead, you will make an additional appointment and depending on what the treatment plan includes, the treatment session can take around 30 minutes.
How long does Juvéderm® last? How quickly will I see results?
Juvéderm® facial fillers are proven to give the longest-lasting results of any hyaluronic acid facial filler on the market, with results lasting 9–24 months, depending on the chosen product and treated area. Other dermal fillers are also used in the clinic.
Here’s how long specific results typically last:
- Plumped and smoothed lips last up to 12 months
- Volumised and lifted cheeks can last up to 24 months
- Results are visible shortly after treatment
What results can I expect? Can treatment with dermal filler look and feel natural?
When you have a treatment with facial fillers, you can expect to see your desired changes immediately. In the long run, treatments with facial fillers can be an effective way to reduce the signs of ageing that may result from loss of collagen, hyaluronic acid and elastin.
Dermal fillers blend with the tissue under the skin for natural looking and feeling results.
What is the downtime? Are there side effects? Can I have other treatments?
After a dermal filler treatment some patients can experience side effects, these may include: temporary swelling, redness, itching, pain, tingling or numbness, firmness or small bumps, bruising and dis-colouration. These reactions may occur immediately or may be delayed but usually resolve within a few days.
I will discuss with you if there are other treatments you should use when creating your personalised treatment plan.
